Terms of service

TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: 3 September 2026

Welcome to Just Another Idea.

These Terms of Service explain the terms that apply when you browse our website, place an order or purchase products or services from us.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms together with any other policies referred to on our website.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

1. ABOUT US

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services.

2. USING OUR WEBSITE

You may use our website for lawful personal use.

You must not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software, access areas you are not authorised to access, scrape or copy substantial parts of the website, or use the website in a way that could harm Just Another Idea or another person.

We may update, change or temporarily withdraw parts of the website where reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security or improvements.

3. PRODUCTS AND PRODUCT INFORMATION

We do our best to make product descriptions, photographs, sizing, colours and other information as accurate as possible.

Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen or device.

Because some of our products are handmade, printed, personalised or made to order, small variations may occur between items. These do not necessarily mean that a product is faulty.

Any important product-specific information shown on the product page forms part of your purchase.

Please read the product description carefully before ordering, particularly where a product includes personalisation, custom options, digital content, subscriptions or age/use guidance.

4. SEN, NEURODIVERSITY AND WELLBEING PRODUCTS

Some of our products are designed to support areas such as emotions, communication, self-regulation, mental wellbeing, ADHD, autism, OCD, anxiety and other additional needs.

These products are intended as supportive resources only.

They are not medical devices and are not a replacement for medical, psychological, therapeutic, educational or other professional advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Every child, teenager and adult is different. A resource that is useful for one person may not be suitable for another.

Where you are concerned about someone's health, safety, development or mental wellbeing, please seek appropriate professional advice.

5. PLACING AN ORDER

When you place an order, you are offering to buy the products in your basket at the price shown.

You are responsible for checking your order carefully before submitting it, including:

  • product choices

  • quantities

  • spelling

  • names

  • dates

  • photographs

  • personalisation

  • delivery address

  • email address

We may contact you if we need more information before completing an order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, for example because:

  • a product is unavailable

  • an obvious pricing or listing error has occurred

  • payment has not been authorised

  • we cannot complete the requested personalisation

  • the order contains unlawful, abusive or infringing content

  • we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, any amount due back to you will be refunded.

6. PERSONALISED AND CUSTOM-MADE ORDERS

Many of our products can be personalised or custom-made.

You are responsible for providing the correct personalisation details.

Please check spelling, names, dates, wording, photographs and any other information supplied before submitting your order.

Once work has begun on a personalised or custom-made item, changes or cancellations may not be possible.

Personalised or custom-made goods are normally exempt from the standard change-of-mind cancellation right that applies to many online purchases. This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or has been made incorrectly by us.

If we make an error with the personalisation that differs from the information you supplied, please contact us so we can put it right.

If the item has been produced correctly using the information provided by you, we will not normally be responsible for mistakes contained in the information you submitted.

7. CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED PHOTOS, ARTWORK AND CONTENT

Where you send us a photograph, image, logo, wording, design or other content for use on a personalised product, you confirm that you have the right or appropriate permission to provide and use that material.

You must not ask us to reproduce material that is unlawful or that you know infringes another person's intellectual property or other rights.

We may refuse a custom request where we reasonably believe we do not have permission to produce it.

Providing us with material for a custom order does not transfer ownership of that material to us.

8. DIGITAL PRODUCTS

Some products are supplied digitally rather than physically.

The product listing will make clear where an item is a digital product.

Digital products are for the purchaser's personal use unless the product description expressly gives different licence terms.

You must not resell, redistribute, upload, share or commercially reproduce our digital files unless we have specifically given you permission to do so.

UK law has special rules for digital content. Where digital content is supplied immediately, any consent and acknowledgement required by law regarding immediate supply and cancellation rights must be obtained before the download begins.

Your statutory rights still apply where digital content is faulty or does not conform to the contract.

9. SUBSCRIPTIONS

Some products may be available as recurring subscriptions.

Before subscribing, you will be shown the relevant price, billing frequency and other subscription details.

These details form part of your contract.

Recurring payments will be taken according to the subscription plan selected.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in accordance with the cancellation terms shown when you subscribe and through any subscription-management options provided to you.

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals in accordance with the applicable subscription terms. It does not automatically cancel or refund an order that has already been processed.

10. PRICES AND PAYMENT

Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise.

The price you pay will normally be the price shown when you place your order.

Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown separately before checkout is completed.

Promotions, discount codes and automatic discounts may have separate conditions and may be changed or withdrawn.

We may correct genuine pricing or listing errors. If an obvious error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.

Payments are processed through the payment methods made available at checkout.

We do not receive or store your full payment-card details ourselves.

11. DELIVERY AND TURNAROUND TIMES

Our current production or turnaround times are displayed on our website and may vary depending on whether an item is standard, personalised or custom-made.

A turnaround time is the time required to prepare or make your order before dispatch. It is not the same as the courier's delivery time.

Any delivery dates provided are estimates unless we have specifically agreed a guaranteed delivery date with you.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control, but this does not affect any rights you have under consumer law.

Goods remain our responsibility while they are being delivered to you by a carrier arranged by us.

Please make sure the delivery address supplied at checkout is accurate.

12. CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Your cancellation, return and refund rights depend on the type of product purchased.

For eligible non-personalised goods purchased online, UK consumers will normally have the right to tell us they wish to cancel within 14 days after receiving the goods and then have a further 14 days to return them.

Exceptions can apply, including to personalised or custom-made goods and certain other product types.

Your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or not fit for purpose are separate from change-of-mind rights and are not removed by these Terms.

Full information is provided in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

13. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS

We want problems sorted properly.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, incomplete or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide information that helps us investigate, such as your order number and photographs.

Asking customers to report a problem promptly helps us investigate courier damage or packing issues, but a short reporting period does not remove statutory consumer rights.

Goods supplied to consumers must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where applicable. These rights cannot simply be excluded by store terms.

14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless stated otherwise, the content created by Just Another Idea, including our original designs, wording, illustrations, product layouts, digital files, photographs, branding and website content, belongs to us or is used by us with permission.

Purchasing a physical or digital product does not transfer intellectual property rights to you.

You may use purchased products for their intended personal use.

You may not reproduce, copy, resell, redistribute or commercially exploit our original content unless we have expressly given permission.

15. REVIEWS AND FEEDBACK

If you leave a review or send us feedback, you remain responsible for the content you provide.

You give us permission to display genuine reviews or feedback relating to our business or products on our website and marketing channels.

We will not knowingly create or publish fake customer reviews.

16. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

Our website may use services or integrations provided by third parties, including Shopify, payment providers, delivery providers, review platforms and social-media services.

We may also link to third-party websites.

Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the content of websites that we do not operate.

17. PRIVACY

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Shopify and other service providers may also process information where necessary to provide our website, checkout, payments and related services.

Please see our Privacy Policy for further information about how personal information is used and your rights.

18. OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so.

In particular, nothing in these Terms affects liability that cannot legally be excluded or your statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or for losses resulting from your misuse of a product.

If you are purchasing wholly or mainly for business purposes rather than as a consumer, different legal rights may apply.

19. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

Sometimes circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect our ability to fulfil an order, such as major postal disruption, severe weather, power or internet failures, supply disruption or other exceptional events.

If this happens, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and communicate with affected customers where necessary.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

20. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our products, services, business practices or legal requirements.

The version in force when you place an order will normally apply to that order.

The latest version will always be available on our website.

21. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising rights available to you under applicable consumer law.
